We where contacted by the proud new owners of this two bedroom condo unit and asked for an assessment of its condition. After a thou rough site visit we where able to give recommendations that would eliminate some major moisture issues, make the space more functional, and increase the appeal to the eye.

The first priority in all projects is to insure the structural integrity of what we are working on. In this case that meant addressing several areas of the building that where taking in water with extensive rot resulting. Although many of those repairs where not part of the original scope of work they where to extensive to be ignored and the homeowners recognized this so the extra work was approved. Once we opened up those areas and repaired all the structural components we where able to move forward with the improvements that where originally planned.

Some of the items on the list where custom box beams, new floor coverings, custom trim details designed around the existing layout, and converting the upstairs from two bedrooms to one single master bedroom. After presenting several mock details to our clients they picked the ones they enjoyed the most and we where able to move forward. White oak floors installed in the raw and finished on site. Tile in the entry with a matching hearth area for the stove and firewood. We created a new bay window are and gave it the same treatment as the custom paneled wall.

With all that was done we created an inviting and open layout for our clients to live in that they would look forward to coming home to. The flowing lines of the ceiling moulding draw your eyes around the room so that you can enjoy and appreciate each small detail.
